The institution was upgraded to college status by the Ministry of Education in 1998. Since then, SATT has become one of the pioneered institution in conducting culinary arts, tourism and hospitality at Diploma programs in Sarawak. All diploma programs at SATT College has been approved by Ministry of Education and accredited by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA). Student graduating from these programs can further their studies  at other level into tertiary education institute either locally or abroad.
